Front Entry
The front entry way of Champion House boasts one of its signature historic features. The door frames and stairs seen in the two images is the original woodwork of the house, done in the hand painted wood grain style popular at the time.

The earliest information I have found about Champion House was what was in the newspaper when construction was completed, and this 1889 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map that shows Champion House in its original footprint encompassing both 218 and 220 S Charles.

Bedroom 1
Bedroom 1, as it is labeled on the electrical panel, has been my teenage daughter's room during our stay. That being the case, it's the first room to get a full replastering.
